How the SME Package Works
Contact the House of Entrepreneurship
Request a free pre-analysis at the House of Entrepreneurship (Chamber of Commerce) or eHandwierk (Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts). Important: mention ObsidianCorps as your preferred cybersecurity provider during this initial contact so we are registered as your chosen partner.
Subsidy Application
The House of Entrepreneurship completes the SME Package subsidy application on your behalf. You don't need to handle the paperwork — they manage the entire administrative process.
Ministry Approval
The Ministry of the Economy reviews and validates your application. Once approved, the cybersecurity project can begin.
ObsidianCorps Implements Your Solution
We deliver the cybersecurity services defined during the pre-analysis — whether that's a risk assessment, penetration test, compliance audit, training programme, or a combination of services.
Evaluation & Closure
An evaluation meeting with the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity reviews the completed work and officially closes the dossier.
Payment & Reimbursement
You pay the final invoice. The Ministry of the Economy reimburses 70% of eligible project costs directly to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Any Luxembourg-based SME with a valid business permit (autorisation d'établissement) from the Ministry of the Economy is eligible. You must have your registered office in Luxembourg and meet the SME criteria for staff headcount, annual turnover, and annual balance sheet. There is no minimum company age requirement.
Eligible projects range from €3,000 to €25,000 (excluding VAT). The government reimburses 70% of eligible costs, meaning your actual investment is between €900 and €7,500 depending on the project scope.
The maximum reimbursement is 70% of the eligible project cost. For a maximum-value project of €25,000, that means up to €17,500 reimbursed by the government. You pay only the remaining 30%.
Yes, companies can subscribe to multiple SME Packages, but only one at a time. You could, for example, complete a Cybersecurity package and then apply for an AI package or another programme. Each package follows its own application and evaluation process.
The timeline depends on the project scope and Ministry processing times. Typically, the pre-analysis and application phase takes 2-4 weeks, and the implementation phase takes 4-12 weeks depending on the services involved. The full process from first contact to reimbursement usually takes 3-6 months.
Yes. The formal process always starts with a free pre-analysis at the House of Entrepreneurship (or eHandwierk for craft businesses). This is a mandatory first step — you cannot apply for the subsidy directly through ObsidianCorps or any other provider.
Simply mention ObsidianCorps as your preferred cybersecurity provider when you contact the House of Entrepreneurship for your pre-analysis. We will then be registered as your chosen partner for the project. We handle everything from there — you don't need to coordinate between us and the House of Entrepreneurship.
The 70% subsidy is reimbursed after the project is completed, the evaluation meeting with the House of Cybersecurity has taken place, and you have paid the final invoice. The Ministry processes the reimbursement after the dossier is officially closed.
